Crossin' the Creek!

After we gave up on the other (east maybe?) side of the creek, we went back to the original side to show Janice the old Still and the spring.
Janice needed a jar too, these things were huge, and they have been there a while. This one actually had a tree root growing into it! Good thing the mouth was pointed toward the tree.

Once we got back to the spring, Janice was ready to go across to see the other side! That was all the inspiration we needed to go too!

Found a safe place for the beers and our boots and off we went.

Debra and I were a little wobbly getting across the first side of the creek, Janice was already trying to get across the other side!

Debra wasn't even going to start across the next side until Janice figured out if we could make it!

Scratch tried real hard to come across with us, but she was smart enough not to bail off in that cold water!

Janice is coaching Debra on where to step, Debra tried to ease along. We didn't want to get any wetter than we had to.

Debra's balancing act, she held on to the water to avoid falling in it. She says it gave her "just enough resistance", and this is how her sleeve got wet!

"Cross here!" they said, the deepest part of the creek!
Except Sarah, she tried to warn us, what a sweetie!

Some kind of track...deer? hog? I don't know- I'm not an expert tracker. lol

We were a pretty sorry looking crew walking back, carrying our shoes and soaking wet from the thighs down. But it was fun!

Ewww, our feet got gross! (And we had our turns on stepping on some pretty sharp stuff)
But at least we were all in it together.

This look was in "vouge" for the night. I did rinse my feet and dry them to put my boots back on at Paul & Kims, I didn't want to get sick. That fire sure felt great later!

Thanks for letting me come ya'll, I had SO much fun!
