CSI- Halloween...two of my FAVORITE things!

Ok, confession time...I absolutely love CSI, you know "Crime Scene Investigators", Thursdays @ 9 on CBS. It is silly, but for 3 years or so I have not missed an episode (unless it was recorded for me to watch a little later) and the BEST episodes are for Halloween! I have a bit of my own version here, because I happened upon the pictures and I am not busy at all at work today.
Enjoy- if you dare!!
This set of pictures is kinda gory... but don't worry, only one animal was harmed in the making of this blog post (haha, I couldn't resist)

Daniel is cheesin it with his deer...

Necks don't really bend that way, but this is where the other pictures came from, this deer...

This looks like such a crime scene to me, I love that you can see part of the deer, the blood smear & drips, and I'm intrigued by the cat. Maybe because she didn't have anything to do with the "murder", but she was involved in the clean up.

This one is my favorite. The contrast of the dark concrete & blood against the white cat is pretty intense. The cat is 'tainted' with the blood on her head, staining her fur. You can see her reflection in the blood pool. And in case you haven't noticed it yet, there is a blood drop splashing in front of the cat's nose...I LOVE that part.
I'm weird, I know, but I am in a photography class this semester, so these are things I look for.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Another weekend, another set of pictures

This weekend we went back down to GoosePasture some, had a GREAT time (and Tammy & Joe were back!!!), and hunted. That pretty much sums up the weekend. No pictures from Friday night, and I don't have the ones from Saturday night...these are from Saturday & Sunday afternoons...
Daniel needed sunglasses...these are all that were at the house, HotWheels!!!
He got some "Ray Charles" glasses, but they were more like goggles- they had BLINDERS on the sides! Really!

Deisel-dog... he's always such a sweet boy!

Ben hates for me to take pictures of him, Daniel smiles for my camera though...
Mostly I just like this one of Deisel, it looks like a card or something

Muzzle-loader... it takes forever to load those suckers.

We had fun, as always...and Daniel even got a deer later to keep up with Ben's from Saturday morning! Thank goodness. :-)

First Deer of 2008!

The first deer of the season was COMPLETELY LEGAL!!! Muzzle-loader season opened this weekend, Ben got this buck Saturday at a feeder that had been putting out corn all year, on his property, with a muzzle loader! Hence the excitement...
He had to hold his ears to make sure you could see the horns in the picture.
Daniel drove him around to brag about him while Ben was at work.
But the other part of the agreement was that he would clean him- he was gut shot, and Daniel was hung over...it made for a rather unpleasant end to his morning. ;-)

Just one more for the "Deer Slayer", haha

There will be PLENTY MORE this season I'm sure...I won't post about EVERY one, but this is the first of '08!

"Camping" trip (Part 1)

The first good & chilly weekend this year, perfect time for camping!
We were by NO means 'roughing' it, it was a REAL good time though! (Ben and I never actually camped, this was good hunting weather after all)
This is how Ben & Ruby met, one fateful pole-dance long ago. haha

It's been a tough love relationship ever since! We love Ruby!

Fancy tricks!

Aww...

Helping her be taller?! Or just being raunchy?! I don't know...

Got the other photographer back there...I want to see those pictures too!

Dancing off into the distance, haha, I think her beer was empty

I don't remember what the point of this one was, or even know if I took it...
but look at Deisel! :)

a sneaky picture (they kept running out of the frame if I took the pictures normal)

she's tough! lol

Finally got them to sit still. I love their hair!
This is just Friday night, we had a great time- just like we always do. We were ready to do it again by Saturday! [Keep going for Part 2]

"Camping" trip (Part 2)

Saturday night we were ready to do it all over again! Added a few new folks to the crew and partied on down!!!
Daniel got some glass in his thumb, Ben decided to do late night surgery...

...with his pocket knife and a lighter!

Turned the flash off for a more realistic effect, haha

Good thing Daniel couldn't feel it much, he squirmed enough as it was

Look at his face! OUCH!

At least Candice is almost a nurse, and I trust Ben with the knife
(he's cut splinters and such out for me before...but sober)

Daniel ♥s his Ben!

Debra has a large foot! ...no wait, Ben is cheating, it isn't at the back

Our DD...really just D.P. ;)

"Where is Gatlinburg?!"
(I love TN)

Lookin good in that RAW Construction Hardhat!

Backseat buddies, haha
We left the campsite, rode in the woods for awhile, took a 'wrong' turn and ended up in Waylawne (spelling?!), met and hung out with some folks from Perry, got back to Wacissa, went over to Buster's birthday party, went home again, slept a bit.
And- Ben (our expert chef) fixed us a GREAT breakfast Sunday morning before we all took off again!
Keepin' the ice safe for our Sunday!

John & Amanda's wedding!

Weddings are a long term commitment... and so is reading this post (haha). I tried to narrow this down to just the photos that I liked, but there are still plenty. We took TONS of pictures at this wedding- some great, some terrible... Here is a selection of the best, though the lighting made some of them less sharp than I wanted- I'm still pretty satisfied.
Me and Charlotte (my roomate, bestfriend, & my boyfriend's sister {haha, what a title.})
Their first dance as a married couple

My favorite part of any wedding, it's so sweet.

Close-up of the wedding cake

Groom's cake, an arrowhead and the Wacissa River

Centerpiece (I was playing while everyone ate dinner)
I used to cater weddings, I have never seen the bride in the buffett line! :) I LOVE it!

Daniel & Mallory gettin down!

He asked me the next morning if he at least danced "half-ass decent", I assured him that he did.

Uncle Keith used to be a ballroom dance instructor!

No REALLY he was! I was so impressed!

I hope Amanda had a great time! :)

The kids danced too!!

Daniel had his glasses on every time he danced! Too funny

Big Dale and the bride, very sweet. (Even with his hurt knee)
the dance-off of the night...

Uncle Keith shouldn't have rubbed Paul's head!

Ben with his tongue out, haha, even Matt looks impressed!

we need to practice smiling at the camera at the same time...
yea, we know how to get low...even in heels!

like I said, we need to smile together, haha

they didn't play any slow songs, this was as close as it got ;)

got low as she did, it made this a much better picture

Ben and Amanda

getting down with the bride!

Paul says "You can't dance like that with the bride!!!"

Amanda is super sweet, John is one lucky guy!
She said he wouldn't tell her where they were going on the honeymoon, just told her to pack a bathing suit! The wedding was gorgeous, and we all had a great time at the reception!
Best of luck to them and many many happy years together in their future!
Congratulations!
