Sarah's gonna get me for this...

Sarah is like some member's of Austrailia's Aborigine tribe that believe having their picture taken sucks out part of their soul...but luckily we know that digital cameras can't do that. haha.
I love Sarah, if she wasn't so dadgum cute I wouldn't be so tempted to take pictures of her (besides, it's kinda like a challenge to do it without her catching you...)
Sarah eating a big ol' chunk of watermelon heart.

See...Janice tried to sneak a picture- and what she got instead was splashed in the face.

Sitting on James and Teresa's boat to eat some more...

Oops, she caught me...

I see a smile though! Ben and Mark in the background...

Debra sitting up in the pump shed, I told her she looked like she was sitting in the tree.

Janice ran away with Sarah's float, Dale's just watching and laughing.

Sarah's going to get her float back!

She is trying to better understand the president... lol

Only time I ever caught Sarah lookin at me. Duck and Ruby playing around...Daniel walking out.

Laughing Sarah...

Trying to pull heavy ol' Ben out to the "deep"

Pretty good zoom on my camera...I was standing on Ben's poling platform, like 3 boats away!

I mean really, who can resist pictures of this pretty girl?!
(check out that water splash!)

Attacking Benjamin...

Oooh...get ready...

Trying to pull him out...

And FLIPPING him out! Go Sarah!!!

Duck and Ruby mediating, haha, and helping to hold the float still.

Ben helping Sarah into the float

I think Ruby immediately tickled her right back out... what a cutie!

"Lydia!!! STOP THAT!"
Well I knew I was gonna get caught some time.

She is coming to get me!

Stopped to flirt with the boys that were standing in the water
(She learned from all her moms...Janice, Ruby, Debra, & Tammy)
ha ha ha

There it is, back to the GRR face.
This is nothing like the face Daniel got later, but I didn't take those pictures...we'll have to see them from Debra's camera, or Janice's---whoever had them...oh my.
*Sarah, don't be mad darlin- I only put up pictures where you look like your completely adorable self...Love you! See you soon!*

Farmer Ben

Ben's first "big" hay job...
He cut this big field the day before the pictures...

Workin hard...

Where did that ass come from?!
haha.

Cows were watching him work...

oops...cut some of the stuff off in this picture...it was bright out ok?!

Here he comes!
He made me jump the fence after this to pick up a piece of wood out of the way...

He was using a "tetter" to fluff the hay so it could be baled the next day.

They just stood all in the way...

I'll have pictures of the new baler in action soon...I didn't make it out there the next afternoon.

Those things spin REALLY fast...

There you have it..Farmer Ben.
;-)

Hay Equipment

Two weeks ago when Ben was just getting started at his new hay venture we went to Thomasville to get some info on a few pieces of equipment. He was looking at a bailer and a rake (I think...) but I just went along for the ride...and I love old farm equipment so I couldn't resist pictures...
This is a Kill-Dee, the loudest dadgum bird EVER, let me tell you.

Love this little old tractor...

Old and the New

Here's what she is hollerin about, see that egg tucked under there?

I guess if you are going to lay on the ground you have to be loud to make sure no one steps on it.

Does this look like an ideal setting to you? I mean what happens when it hatches there?!

Tricked her into coming after me (scary) so that I could get a picture of just the egg.

See it? Good camoflauge.
I really am surprised it wasn't fried though, those rocks were SO hot! I'd hate to be that baby bird when it hatches!!!

Doesn't this look kinda scary?! I don't know what this is or does...but it looks kinda neat, in a "grind your bones to make my bread" way.

Above another old tractor.

Steering wheel to the left, gear shift off center...then the tractor.

Birds will nest ANYWHERE! I mean, this isn't on the ground but seems just as hot and just as precarious...maybe this is a bachelor bird who isn't home during the day and doesn't plan on kids...haha.

'Shine weekend

Too much moonshine equals a REALLY good time!
Ben and I showed up and Mark & Deb's after Amanda's graduation (pictures on the other blog), and had a great time, as usual. And surprisingly the next day we had not learned our lesson, because everyone was right back at it again!
We had a few new faces, and Daniel enjoyed sitting with all the girls!!
Debra is mixing there moonshine shots (they had NO idea what they were in for)

After Ashley's shot...And Ben threw weeds on Daniel
-glad I could catch a picture of him LICKING them!

Ashley is tough! And Daniel is spitting out the water weed taste, haha.

Todd, Cheryl and Ricky (minus the kids) turned up to have a little fun!
Here is Ricky and Cheryl, with Ricky sporting Daniel's "bullshit protectors" from last huntin season.

Another shot of the BullShit Protectors...
he wears them better than Daniel

Aww...

Haha, too bad she couldn't stop him from wearing THOSE glasses!

Daniel modeling a bikini top...and Ben admiring it from the background.

At the party later, Daniel had locked his keys in his truck before we even GOT there!
Ben is holding the door open for Daniel to unlock the door with a fishing rod.

Ben was tired of this approach, he REALLY wanted to bust something with that axe!

Daniel HAS spare keys, but they are locked in the truck too! SMART!
Ben still standing ready with the axe, haha.

Some more outside help...

Had to give up for a drink break. lol.
They did finally get it open, but it took FOREVER!
Ben was sad he didn't get to use the axe. haha.
