Thanksgiving Dinner

Happy Thanksgiving (a little late)!
So what are the traditional foods you think of for Thanksgiving dinner?
Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Peas, and of course Cranberry Sauce...right?!
I found this recipe online for Tiny Turkey Dinners, and I couldn't resist!

We had 2 Thankgivings this year, at my family and at Ben's, so I made a LOT of cupcakes. Probably too many, but I still work on that Monroe mentality that it's better to have too much than too little!

Separate vanilla sandwich cookies, scrape off creme in one piece, glue it to the top of the cookie (the pretty side) with any gel icing- mine was pink, haha- then you have your "plate"

Mashed Potatoes with butter- white icing applied with a toothpick and a dot of yellow gel icing.
Peas- all green nonpariel sprinkles, applied by hand, smooshed in a little with a fingertip.
Cranberry Sauce- blob of red gel icing, red sugar sprinkles applied by hand on top
Turkey- cut-off flat bottoms of Brachs Maple Nut Goodies (nearly impossible) , make smaller
Gravy- melted chocolate chips and Karo syrup drizzled on "turkey" with a toothpick
All that squished on top of a cupcake and you have a fun family dessert!
*Warning- you will be asked all day what it is made of, told repeatedly that you have too much time on your hands, and asked at least once if the mashed potatoes are supposed to be eggs.
Aside from all that I had so much fun making these, it will probably be a long time before I do it again just because it did take awhile, but I am pretty proud of how they turned out!
