"I be strokin..."

One of our favorite people in Wacissa is Q-ball, his name actually originates from a story about a cue ball (from a game of pool), but I'll have to save that story for another day. Anyway, he is Daniel's Dad, Ben's second Dad, and Zach (2-ball)'s role model. I have infinite respect for Ricky, and am impressed with him and his handywork all the time!

He doesn't let loose very often (especially with me around, he thinks that 'ladies' shouldn't be exposed to some things, like certain cuss words, etc.)...but occasionally he lets himself have a really good time, and this time I got pictures!

There would have been more pictures, but my batteries were dead- I switched them around and got about 2 more minutes out of them before they just gave out.

We have a rule, that there are no cameras down the river to capture those moments (usually at night) when our thoughts aren't so clear, and those that do are supposed to use discretion about which pictures to share with the world...well someone broke the rules. Now there are LOTS of not so flattering pictures up on Facebook, honestly some TERRIBLE ones of me. But in the spirit of sharing I am posting some of the better ones- and no matter how bad they are you can definitely see how much fun we always have!

Gator Huntin'

A great night for gator huntin'- tags are for Jefferson County, but don't include the northern part of the Wacissa River, so we had to venture to another place

It was too dark for many scenery pictures though.

Looking for gators, we had the Maglite and the Q-beam going. I stayed out of the way on the poling platform. We didn't see many of those sneaky suckers at first...

Daniel was getting ready to gig him, Ben was poling us to chase him down, and Jake came in handy with the light...but he got away

Do you see any?! Yea, us either. We chased a few big ones, chased a few small ones- but in the end all we ended up gettin was a bullfrog. (There's a picture but it's a little graphic)
